I'm not the only one needing neon signs!

Today the little girls and I spent the day enjoying ourselves at DSAHR's Buddy Walk, where I did not have to be responsible for anything except spending quality time with them and making sure they had some fun!

I am going to detour this post just a bit.................................

When I started this blog it was for the purpose of communicating our adoption process with family, friends and others adopting through Reece's Rainbow. The blog has since evolved a bit into the "The SAUNDER'S SAGA" or "As The Saunders Turn" which includes a little bit of everyone....... I have even let my posting lapse a bit due to my overwhelming plate of duties these days. I'm not complaining (k, maybe a little) but I think every morsel on that plate will be worth it in the long run!! I certainly never had thoughts of my blog being anymore than just the ramblings, misspellings and run-on-sentences of a NON-WRITER nor be interesting to anyone!

Last year I did not participate in the 31 for 21 partly because I didn't think I could pull it off, but mostly because our family was going through some major adjustments with the adoption of our daughter Macey(also chromosomally enhanced). But this year I decided I would give it a shot. I figured I haven't posted much about them (exclusively) and our family and friends could catch up on the tales of this Dynamic Duo! As for awareness (which is the real reason 31-for-21 was created) I would leave that up to the blogs that are well written and very insightful , which I also read when given a moment!

But today I got a nice surprise............ I had someone land on my blog purely by accident and they even posted. I was so touched and pleased by their post that I felt a detour was in order!!

Wow, I came here looking for neon signs but am pleasantly surprised to find what I have. You have a beautiful family and this is really touching. You've opened my eyes to a lot, as I haven't spent much time with anyone with down syndrome. I'm so glad I was brought up right and never used the "r" word. If I ever hear it from now on, I'll politely spread the message. Thank you so much for posting everything that you have, I hope many others see it. God Bless you all and take care.-Joe

Joe, Thank You !!

See I am not the only one who needs neon signs!
