A Perfect Ending To A Perfectly Busy Day!

Today we FINALLY GOT OUR AIR CONDITIONER.....YEAH!!
So while the men were installing it.....Rachel and I started working on one of our many planned projects!

It is hard to believe that Rachel has already completed her first year of college, quite successfully too!
"Way To Go Rachel"  She is now home for the summer but has registered to take two classes at our local community college(she would like to graduate early and move right into grad school sooner and it saves money!!)
WE ARE VERY PROUD OF HER!!

Next year she and several  of her girl friends from school will be sharing a townhouse just off campus which is under construction at the moment by one of the roomies' father.  She not only has the measurements for the room but has planned out her furniture and even decided on her rooms color scheme!!  she gets her "Type A" tendencies from DAD!   :-)

A couple of months back we were at Habitat for Humanity and she found a deal she couldn't pass up...... A bedroom set for $35(dresser, bed frame and a headboard with cubbies and shelves)
Yesterday while on one of our jaunts through thrift stores, she found a small, sturdy, very cute, rolling desk for $10..... Above she has started her project by taking it completely apart and sanding it down in hopes of painting it in the near future!!

MEANWHILE........

I found these five chairs off of Craig's list for FREE!!
I have removed the cushions and in the process of looking for a fabric that screams out ME....PICK ME!!
I was originally thinking I wanted to paint them black but since they are sanding down so well now I am thinking I might stain them?  Unfortunately I didn't get to finish sanding them before the storms rolled in so I got plenty of time and sanding before I have to decide!!  Maybe when that fabric calls out to me it will help make the decision!!

Thank goodness for the breeze it did a great job of blowing all that sanding dust away!

A BEAUTIFUL RAINBOW!!

LEFT SIDE

RIGHT SIDE

And the complete and beautiful rainbow!

Carley and Macey wanted to go and look for the treasure at the end!!
(Carley loved the March leprachaun theme)
I told them that we didn't need too cause they would be at the end of the rainbow and I already knew they were my treasure!!  Carley giggled and said,"Ah Mom, I love you" and Macey gave me a big hug!
